Tick Tock IPA #2

We are proud to announce the launch of our new book, Clockwork Watch: Tick Tock IPA #2.

The first 40 copies come with a free limited/numbered edition copy of The London Gazette, our fictional newspaper that was central to the immersive experience theatrical, staged at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, last week.

The book, a continuation of Tick Tock story, follows Ervin the sentient Clockwork on his journey of discovery.

Ervin Worried

“A Clockwork automaton falls into a brewery’s fermentation tank, and gains sentience. Exactly the opposite of what would happen to a human being. He finds himself in a world sick to the core, searching for a miracle. Could he be the answer? Is he ready for such responsibility? And why isn’t anyone asking him what he wants?”

Clockwork Punk’d at the Royal Observatory

Clockwork Watch creator, Yomi Ayeni, is part of the team bringing Steampunk to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. It’s part of the bicentenary of Longitude, and there MAY be an element of the Clockwork Watch story embedded in the year long celebrations.

On The Beat… at Thought Bubble 2013

We had a great time at Thought Bubble 2013, in Leeds. Corey, Jennie, and Yomi were there to launch Tick Tock IPA, the third book in our Clockwork Watch story.

It was great to catch up with the friends, supporters, fellows, creators, publishers, and distributors! A big Yayy! to the guys over at The Beat! Thanks for the mention on your blog, and looking forward to getting some goodies over to you soon.

Clockwork Watch Comics always make an incredible effort at Thought Bubble, a small-press publisher who wear incredibly fancy steampunk attire. They’ve built a whole world out of their comics, making their comics into a culture of their own. I got the chance to speak to the creator, Yomi Ayeni, who was a delight.” – The Beat

Sketch From Claire Hummel

We met up with artist extraordinaire Claire Hummel at San Diego Comic Con, where we had a chat about Steampunk, hair, multiculturalism, and more. She gave us this amazing sketch! Somehow she’s seems to have tapped into Yomi’s fascination with Harlequin… Thanks to Jaymee Goh for the introduction.

When the Clock stopped (for a few days) at San Diego Comic-Con 2013

What happens when two Victorian steampunk style British gentlemen go to one of the biggest comic book conventions in the world, for the first time?

Well, lots of things, old fellow. Lots of things.

We documented our journey to the prestigious San Diego Comic-Con 2013 over at Geek Syndicate. And this is just the beginning…

“If I wasn’t so tired, I probably would have had visions of the police filing a report about how they discovered two black guys from the UK, holed up in ‘a lady called Gladys’, buried alive by a mountain of steampunk and fantasy comic books.

“Any press is good press, as they say.”

Clockwork Watch Resumes…

resumes18120131

It has been years since the onset of the Dark Winter, and Victorian society is finally getting to grips with living in smoke.

A lifetime of burning fuels to power the big mechanical machines, coupled with diverse weather conditions created a deadly pea-souper that plunged the world into darkness.

Time has moved on…

One Year In Now Media – by Simon Staffans

Clockwork Watch is featured in Simon Staffans‘ article “One Year In Now Media” – an in depth look at the transmedia industry. It is a great summary of where this emerging genre is, and where many of us hope to drive it. Clockwork Watch creator Yomi Ayeni contributed a section on the development of this very project.

Clockwork Watch changes gear in 2013, we are going for a more engaging story, told through live events. While the start of this narrative has been online, the next stage is more engaging, immersive, and physically participatory. The tone of the storyworld changes, people will be encouraged to claim real estate in the world, and bring it to life at our events.”

Kindly check it out, it is a cracking read and Happy New Year!
